Aims and Objectives:
“Service to mankind is Service to God.” Keeping an eye on the maxim the YRC society motivates the students to sacrifice for others. Lessons from biography of John Henry Dunant, founder member of the IRCS, inspire all for selfless service. Social service oriented tips are given to the college students so that they can also spread the message to the common man for developing a sound and healthy society. The YRC is a vital unit of our institution. Its mission is to educate and empower the youth in the spirit of Red Cross, i.e. to inspire, encourage and initiate at all times all forms of humanitarian activities so that human sufferings can be minimized and even prevented which can contribute to create a climate for peace. The YRC seeks to achieve these objectives through constructive training and effective leadership and provide opportunities for the students by directing and furnishing their energy and idealism into worthwhile humanitarian activities. The activities of the YRC are constructed and supervised by the by the teaching members of the staff nominated by the Principal. The college unit of the
YRC undertakes a number of activities every year such as:
- Organization of Blood Donation Camp.
- Conduct of district level training camps for YRC volunteers.
- Convention of district committee meeting of YRC counselors of various colleges.
- Organization of important events and rallies such as ‘World AIDS Day’, ‘Hand-Wash Day’, ‘Road-Safety Week’, ‘National Youth Day’ etc.
